Half-day · Cambridge & East Anglia · From £795

Founder Portrait Session.

One founder. One brief. One face that has to do a lot of work — About page, LinkedIn header, press piece, speaker bio. Made to last.

Who it's for

For the founder who is the brand.

You are the photo on the About page. You are the face that goes on a panel slide before you walk on. You are the small square next to a quote in a press piece. The portrait has to work in all of those places, and it has to still look like you in two years' time.

A founder portrait is a small, controlled session — one outfit or two, one location or two, one brief, four hours. The goal is twenty images you can use, and ten you actually love.

On the day

A small, calm process.

Brief

A one-page plan, agreed before the shoot. Location, wardrobe, shot list, timings, price.

Settle

The first fifteen minutes are technical. Light, framing, test frames. You get used to the camera.

Shoot

Three or four set-ups. Two outfits at most. I keep talking, you keep moving. The good frames arrive somewhere in the middle.

Deliver

Edited gallery in ten working days. You choose the favourites. I send the high-resolution files.

From the work

A few founder portraits.

Frequently asked

Founder portrait questions.

Is this just a posh headshot?

It's a portrait, not a headshot. The difference is the eye and the framing. A headshot gives you a single safe square crop. A portrait gives you a person you can use in different ways — vertical for press, wide for the website hero, tight for a profile circle.

Do I need to use the studio?

No. Half the founder shoots I do are on location — your office, a meeting room, an exterior somewhere meaningful. The studio gives a clean look. The location gives a contextual look. Both work. We decide in the brief.

What if I'm not photogenic?

Nobody is, in the abstract. People photograph well when they're settled, when they're listening to the photographer, and when they trust the process. Thirty years means I can run the rest. You bring the morning.

Can I buy more images afterwards?

Yes. The gallery shows the full edited set. If you want additional retouching on specific frames or extra files at print resolution, those are quoted per-image.

Ready?

A short call. No pitch.

Twenty minutes. I'll ask what the portrait is for, and who it's for. One-page proposal back within a working day.
