Who I am

This site is run by Jean-Luc Benazet, trading as Jean-Luc Benazet Photography, based in South Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for any personal information you submit through this website.

For data-protection queries: jeanluc.benazet@gmail.com.

What I collect

If you complete the enquiry form on the contact page, I collect: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), the service you are enquiring about, the shoot location, your message, and how you heard about me. I do not collect any data automatically through cookies for marketing or profiling purposes.

Why I collect it

To respond to your enquiry, send you a proposal, schedule a shoot, and — if you book — fulfil the resulting contract. The legal basis is your explicit consent (when you tick the consent box) and, after booking, the performance of a contract.

Who else sees it

Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-handling service, which forwards them to me by email. Web3Forms is GDPR-compliant; see their privacy policy for details. My email is hosted by Google Workspace. No data is shared with marketing partners or sold.

How long it's kept

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Bookings are kept for seven years for HMRC/accounting purposes, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask me to restrict its processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of these, email jeanluc.benazet@gmail.com.

Cookies

This site sets no analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. The only cookies are functional ones set by the form provider when you submit the contact form, to prevent spam.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the contact page.
