My love of photographing my son is what got me into family photography. I’ve been a photographer for over 24 years and love it. My style of photography is natural and relaxed. I love capturing all the unique and fleeting moments for my beautiful family. The best part about being a family photographer is capturing beautiful memories and hearing incredible stories.

We recently hired Jean-Luc to take some photos of us for our family who we can’t be with because of travel restrictions. He was punctual, helpful and took a brilliant gallery of photos that shows all of our personalities well. It’s a real comfort for relatives to stay connected with the children as they grow, and Jean-Luc’s work has made the distance between us all feel much smaller. Using mainly natural light, I excel at creating playful and natural family portraits of you and your children. These family photographs will remind your children of their innocence when they are grown up and will last for generations. My approach is essentially storytelling through photography.
I often come to my clients’ homes to take family photographs. Younger children seem more relaxed in familiar surroundings, as shown in the pictures afterwards. They generally seem happier and are more willing to smile when we start the shoot in a more familiar environment.
Alternatively, I like to meet families in their local park or playground. Of course, I am also happy to join you on the beach or in the woods for a fun family day and capture all the fun for you. My current favourite locations for family photography are Wandlebury Woods and Magog Down Country Park.
What to expect during our outdoor family photography shoot?
Before the session, we will discuss the type of landscape you like, and I will suggest a few locations for you to shoot.
Outdoor family sessions are usually held at the end of the day to catch the beautiful golden light of the setting sun. But of course, depending on your family, this schedule may not be ideal, so we can meet at another time. After all, the most essential thing in getting good family photos is for everyone to have a good time. I will talk to you before the session and help you find the right place and time for your family.
This preparation stage is crucial because it allows us to discuss your tastes and wishes and adapt the outfits to enhance your photos.
On the day of the session, I will meet you for about an hour of relaxed photography. I wish you to have a privileged moment that will mark your whole family. Our rhythms of life are so intense that I want this session to be an opportunity for your family to spend some quality time together, and as a bonus, you will have memories to last a lifetime through your photos.
